Circa 1930
A substantial pressed glass shade with a magnificent geometric design (very thick and high-quality glass)
Matte nickel-plated bronze mount
Fully rewired
Signed "HUGUE" within the design on the glass (see photo)
The glass is signed Hugue (for Léon Hugue), but he was actually the bronze craftsman and owner of the company that marketed this pendant light in the 1930s
The master glassmaker behind this shade was none other than David Guéron (Degué: 1892-1950), who headed two renowned glass factories at that time
Beautiful size (shade = 37 cm in diameter)
An uncommon model, in perfect condition and of high quality!
Dimensions:
Height = 72 cm
Diameter = 37 cm
