Louis Philippe Period Walnut Secretary Desk From The 19th Century
A 19th-century Louis Philippe period walnut secretary desk, restored in our workshop and in perfect condition (stripped, finished with a satin sheen, and reupholstered in leather). I am a cabinetmaker and furniture restorer, a graduate of the École Boulle for 43 years. The front features four drawers and a drop-front. The drop-front opens to reveal a dark interior with eight small drawers, each with a small boxwood border, including two secret drawers on the sides. The drawers slide perfectly. The front is made of figured walnut, and the top is also walnut.
