Louis XIV Period Bronze Torch/candle
A Louis XIV period (late 17th/early 18th century) turned and cast bronze candlestick. The circular base is adorned with four mascarons and an interlaced frieze. The stem is decorated with four sleeves featuring figures of women and a man. It has an old patina, small dents, scratches, and damage to the base with some metal loss. The mounting rod was replaced in the 19th century. The candle holder is old. All questions welcome.
