"Pair Of Marble And Gilt Bronze Candelabra - Charles X - 19th Century"
A superb pair of Charles X period candelabra, circa 1825–1830, in finely chased bronze. Each candelabra rests on an architecturally designed tripod base, richly decorated with scrolls, volutes, and foliate motifs. The slender, fluted column is punctuated with decorative elements in gilt bronze, leading to a crown with six elegantly scrolled candle arms, terminating in gadrooned sockets. The set presents a remarkable balance between neoclassical sobriety and decorative refinement, characteristic of the Charles X period. Good quality, some chips to the marble tops.
