"Regency Style 19th Century Bar Chest"
A mahogany and mahogany veneer chest forming a bar in the shape of a sarcophagus, with light wood stringing and rosette marquetry. The gilt bronze side handles are in the form of lion heads. The chest opens with a scalloped, cyma-shaped lid resting on four console feet terminating in prominent gilt bronze sabots with foliate decoration and four casters. The chest comes with its key. It dates from the first half of the 19th century (circa 1830) and is in good condition.
