"Bella Doll Head Mold In Bronze – Curiosity Item – Circa 1970"
Rare authentic industrial mold from the French manufacturer Bella in Perpignan (1946-1984). This bronze mold was used for rotomolding doll heads in the 1960s and 70s. The object presents a fascinating contrast between the raw exterior, marked by a beautiful workshop patina and traces of verdigris, and the interior revealing the delicate facial features in negative. A historical and sculptural piece for an original decoration or a cabinet of curiosities. This example was made with silicone; the heads of period dolls were, of course, much more beautiful
