"Saint Margaret In Walnut, 15th Century."
A very beautiful Saint Margaret carved in walnut in the round with significant traces of polychromy. She stands emerging from the dragon, her right foot protruding from its head, her hands clasped, gazing at the monster which holds a piece of her robe in its mouth. Her hair falls in long, wavy locks over her shoulders and back. She is dressed in a belted robe with a low neckline and a cloak. Significant losses are visible. Possibly from Brabant or Brussels? Second half of the 15th century.
