Charles Schneider (1881-1953), a French master glassmaker, created the art glass brand Le Verre Français with his brother Ernest Schneider (1877-1937). Le Verre Français was the largest art glassworks in Europe in the 1920s and 1930s. A large majority of its creations, strongly influenced by the Nancy School, are by Charles Schneider.
