"Antique Frame, Early 20th Century, Standard Rabbet 6f, 41 Cm X 33 Cm"
Carved and molded wooden frame, French work from the early 20th century (circa 1900–1920). A decorative work of classical inspiration, with rhythmic decoration and crisp reliefs, typical of high-quality productions from the turn of the century. The wood is probably entirely carved (and not stucco), with a beautiful presence of material and a consistent antique patina. Also noteworthy is the keyed mounting visible on the back of the frame. Rabbet: 42.1 × 34.2 cm. Visible area: 39.5 × 31.5 cm. Overall dimensions: 51 × 43 cm. An elegant, well-proportioned format, ideal for a painting or drawing from the first half of the 20th century. A very fine decorative frame, both understated and refined.
