A very beautiful musical automaton by Jean Farkas, circa 1950. It turns its head, smokes a hookah with one hand, and fans its face with a fan with the other. Its head moves, and its arms each perform a different movement, all accompanied by music. The head and legs are made of bisque porcelain. The clothing is exquisitely detailed and beautifully crafted. The musical mechanism has its original key. This French-made musical automaton is in perfect original condition and working order. Dimensions: Total height 30 cm, Width 20 cm, Depth 24 cm (including the key). The Turk measures 20 cm high excluding the base.
