Hermès Paris Bag, Circa 1940

Rare 1940s Hermès handbag in reddish-brown leather with two handles opening to a red Hermès leather interior. The interior features two gussets with a central pocket secured by a gold-tone metal clasp. Inside this pocket is a coin purse that opens into two sections, one with a central divider. Note that this divider between the white and red leather sections is unstitched (see last photo). There is also a small slip pocket inside the central section, under the gold-tone "Hermès Paris 24 Fg St Honoré" mark, which is slightly worn.
Carried by the two handles.
Lovely patina, with a few minor scratches, but in very good used condition, no stains.
