"Pair Of Lamps By Gianni Pinna"
Pair of solid teak lamps by the Italian sculptor Gianni Pinna, circa 1960. There were 30 examples of this lamp; this is number 11 and 10. Gianni Pinna was born in Guspini (Cagliari) in 1934. He studied sculpture at schools in Turin and Milan. He participated in numerous exhibitions. In 1971, he won first prize at the International Exhibition of Painting and Sculpture in Lanzone da Corte. His works are featured in Italian and international collections. Our society has changed under the influence of technology; we speak of a work of art because of the multiple copies that destroy its very essence: its uniqueness. Everything that is deemed "beautiful" is accessible to everyone through various means. (Abrahamic A. Moles) Agence D'Ars 1967
