Excerpt from Bénézit: Louis Kley, sculptor born in Sens (Yonne) on March 17, 1833, died on March 7, 1911 in the same city (French School). Student of Lequien the Elder. He debuted at the Salon in 1853. He won the second medal at the Barbedienne competition. Silver medal at the 1889 Universal Exhibition and other awards in Paris and Auxerre. The Sens Museum holds his works: Allegory, The Vestal Virgins, and Brennus; and the Castres Museum: Cardinal Bernardon Bust.
