Plaster bust of a woman, dated 1922, signed G. Halbout. French sculptor Georges Halbout du Tanney (1895-1986) was a student of Jean Boucher. He shared his studio with Paul Belmondo in the Parc Montsouris. He received the Blumenthal Prize in 1920 and the Abd el Tif Prize in 1928. His works are held in the Zabana National Museum in Oran and the National Museum of Fine Arts in Algiers.
