Emile Gallé Art Nouveau Nesting Tables "the Four Seasons"
A superb set of four nesting tables in solid walnut. The tabletops feature marquetry depicting the four seasons: spring for the first, with daffodils and butterflies in flight; summer for the second, with a stork; autumn for the third, with swirling leaves; and winter for the last, with snow-covered thistles. They rest on a ribbed, openwork, and carved stretcher base decorated with foliage. Each tabletop is signed. The marquetry and carving are of magnificent quality, and the finish is beautifully waxed. Circa 1900-1910. We invite you to visit our website: antiquites-art-nouveau.fr
