Silver-gilt Chalice And Paten - Circa 1830
Chiseled and richly ornamented, the cup is decorated with three medallions of figures representing Christ, the Virgin Mary, and Saint Peter, alternating with grapevines. The bulbous stem rests on a circular base decorated with reserves of biblical scenes: the Washing of the Feet, the Prayer in the Garden of Olives, and the Crucifixion, alternating with bunches of grapes.
Hallmarked with the head of an old woman facing right for silver (950/1000), indicating production between 1819 and 1838 - Maker's mark RB. Dimensions: 25.5 cm high with a diameter of 9.5 cm, weighing 441 grams.
The paten from the same period is also in silver-gilt, engraved "IHS" and surmounted by a cross with beams of light. Hallmarked with the head of an old woman facing right for silver (950/1000). Diameter: 15 cm, weighing 85 grams.
