Baccarat - Opaline Sugar Bowl, "pineapple" Model
A two-tone "pineapple" sugar bowl with molded decoration. Oval body and lid in white rice paste opaline glass, handle and stand in ultramarine blue opaline glass, embellished with gold lines and stars. Minor losses to the gilding, see photos. Baccarat manufacture. Circa 1845-1865. A similar model is reproduced in the book "Les Opalines" by Christine Vincendeau.
