Set Of 6 Walnut Chairs, Art Nouveau – Early 20th Century
A remarkable set of six walnut and brown leather chairs, perfectly embodying the aesthetics of the Art Nouveau style. Each piece of carved and molded wood harmonizes beautifully with the studded leather, lending the set a timeless elegance. The pediment of each chair back is adorned with a delicate depiction of fruit, reflecting the era's taste for natural and organic motifs. This detail adds a warm and poetic touch, highlighting the craftsmanship of the cabinetmakers who created this set. The top of each chair back, shaped like a gendarme's hat, is distinguished by its exquisite finish. The brown leather, worn and stained, on the back and seat, is held in place by an elegant line of studs, adding a refined and robust touch. The legs of these chairs are also unique, featuring a curved wooden element connecting the rear and front legs. The chair frames are stamped with the maker's mark: "Servin". Ideal for an elegant dining room or living room, these chairs embody an era when art and furniture were one, enhancing every space they occupy.*********Period: Early 20th CenturyWaxed FinishWaln frame restored and treated in our workshop (old woodworm holes)Leather replacement recommended.Dimensions:Width: 46 cmDepth: 45 cmHeight: 98 cmSeat height: 47 cmReference: 211125.2https://www.antiquites-lecomte.com/boutique/sieges/suite-de-6-chaises-en-noyer-art-nouveau-debut-xxe/
