"Grenoble, Notre Dame Square And Its Cathedral, Signed René Ruby (1908-1983)"
View of Grenoble: Place Notre Dame and its cathedral, built from the 10th century onwards. Note its bell tower-porch, a massive, square structure built of brick on a light-colored stone base, sourced from the Porte de France quarry, which was in use until the 19th century. In 1899, the tram line linking Grenoble to Crolles was built, and one of its carriages can be seen. This lively view of Grenoble is signed in the lower right corner by René Ruby. The frame is in good condition.
