19th Century Distorting Witch Mirror, 29.3cm, Napoleon III Style, Cabinet Of Curiosities
Rare distorting mirror, known as a "witch's mirror."
Late 19th century: Napoleon III period.
Oval frame in blackened wood with double molding, enhanced with a thin brass band. Dimensions:
29.3 cm x 23.2 cm.
Depth: 3.5 cm.
Size of the silvered mirror alone: 24.2 cm x 17.4 cm.
The mirror is very convex and highly distorting.
In very good used condition: as shown in the photos.
