André Bizette-Lindet, born February 28, 1906, in Savenay and died December 28, 1998, in Sèvres, was a French sculptor and painter. A student at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts, he won the Grand Prix de Rome for sculpture in 1930 for his "Javelin Thrower." From 1931 to 1935, he resided in Rome at the Villa Medici, then under the direction of Paul Landowski. He notably created the bronze figures for the doors of the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris in 1937, decorated the French pavilion at the 1939-1940 New York World's Fair, and contributed to the decoration of the French Embassy in Ottawa in 1938.
