This champagne ice bucket is a beautiful example of hand-blown glass from the renowned glassworks of Biot, in the South of France. Created using the iconic bubble glass technique (verre bullé), it showcases the distinctive air bubbles that have made Biot glass internationally celebrated since the mid-20th century. These bubbles are intentionally trapped during the glassblowing process, giving each piece its unique texture, depth, and luminous character.
The bucket features a clear glass body accented with soft blue tones, including a thicker blue base and two applied blue glass handles, hand-shaped and organically pulled. These elements provide both visual harmony and functional strength, while emphasizing the artisanal nature of the piece. Subtle variations in the bubbles, color intensity, and form are inherent to Biot production and confirm its handmade origin.
Elegant yet relaxed, this champagne bucket is perfect for cooling champagne or wine, but it can also be used as a decorative centerpiece, vase, or sculptural object. Its timeless design suits both contemporary and classic interiors, particularly coastal or Mediterranean-inspired spaces.
A refined and authentic piece of French Biot glass, combining craftsmanship, history, and decorative appeal.
