A rare and exquisite 19th-century Orientalist pearlfigurine depicting a smoking nobleman (in the style of 17th-century pearfigurines).
The figurine is crafted from silver, gilt silver, and enamel, and features natural baroque pearls of varying sizes adorning the trousers, hat, and armchair cushions. It is set with rubies, green paste stones, and old-cut diamonds (Peruzzi, French cut, table cut, etc.).
Exquisitely detailed work. Probably of Italian origin.
