A bonheur du jour or lady's writing desk in rosewood marquetry within violet wood frames, opening at the top with two doors adorned with porcelain plaques depicting bouquets of flowers in the Sèvres style, and two drawers. A wide drawer, also decorated with a porcelain plaque, reveals a sliding dark leather shelf, gilt-tooled, and a storage compartment. Rich ornementation of gilt bronze.Napoleon III period. Louis XV style.
