Empire-style Display Case, Return From Egypt, 19th Century
19th-century Empire style display cabinet, Egyptian Revival, oak frame with mahogany veneer. This piece rests on two black lion's paw feet. The uprights are adorned with engaged columns surmounted by Egyptomania bronzes surrounding glazed doors (original bubble glass). The doors provide access to three beech shelves (interior of the cabinet lined with red felt). The upper section opens to reveal a drawer decorated in its center with a Greco-Roman style bronze. The entire piece is topped with a gray marble slab. The cabinet has been fully restored in our workshop, adhering to the highest ethical standards of the profession.
