Oil on wood, portrait of a peasant, 18th century. A copy of the portrait by Richard Brakenburg, or Richard Brackenburg (I'm not an expert, but connoisseurs will recognize it). A dark oval around the portrait, darker than the edges of the painting, suggests that it was originally hung in a tondo format. Beautiful gilt frame, dimensions 32 cm x 26.2 cm.
