A cold-painted bronze lamp in the Orientalist style then fashionable in Vienna at the beginning of the 20th century, depicting a carpet merchant beneath a hanging lantern. The lantern contains red, orange, and blue glass, as well as the lamp's bulb, and when lit, it emits a beautiful light. The bronze is finely worked, and the cold painting is particularly well preserved. This lamp is signed under the figure and beneath the carpet with a "B" in an urn for Bergmann, dating from around 1910, Vienna, Austria.
