RUSSIA: The cup with a double-headed eagle symbolizes the Orthodox Church, whose Holy Synod is located in Moscow. The scepter and the sphere in its talons represent the power of the Tsar and that of the Russian Orthodox Church, respectively. Each outstretched wing features four coats of arms, the central one depicting Saint George slaying the dragon, for a total of nine coats of arms. All are engraved inside the cup, which has a slight rim measuring 25 mm and a diameter of 220 mm.
