19th Century Poetic All-wooden Chinese Bucket
A bucket made entirely of juxtaposed wooden slats, lacquered; so far, it appears to be a typical domestic container, Chinese, from the 19th century. But I was able to translate the inscriptions, which read something like this: "This is the river of abundance flowing gently…" Thank you for this poetic moment. Elegant shape, complete with its wooden lid.
