"Louis XV Style Secretary"
A small Louis XV style lady's writing desk, with a curved front and low back, veneered in rosewood with rich floral marquetry of native woods. The uprights are adorned with chased and gilt bronze mounts, and the front, sides, and interior are richly decorated with floral ornamentation. The front opens with a drop-front covered in red leather, revealing two doors, four small drawers, and a curved drawer. The lower section has two doors opening onto three drawers. The entire piece is topped with a thick peach blossom marble slab. It has its keys. A Faubourg Saint-Antoine piece from the 1950s.
