16th Century Landsknecht Dagger
This is rarely seen dagger used by elite German mercenaries the Landsknects.
Known for their elaborate dress they where the most capable and feared fighters, know for their efficiency in achieving their goals and objectives and for their brutality. The official swords used by these men were the Katzbalger and two handed sword, these would have been accompanied by daggers. While the swords are becoming increasingly rare and this in turn has increased the desirability and value. The daggers used by these individuals very rarely come up for sale and in their right they are significantly rarer.
The hilt has the iconic katzbalger design having a leather wrapped handle. The guard has the iconic Katzbalger S shaped quillons . The pommel is multi faceted.
