Important Art Nouveau Period Walnut Sideboard
An important sideboard in solid walnut and walnut veneer, opening in the lower section with four doors and a large central drawer, and in the upper section with two glass-fronted cabinets framing a mirror with a scrolled pediment. The front features remarkable veneer work with symmetrical patterns, with carefully arranged walnut grain forming flame and vegetal motifs. The central doors are slightly curved, emphasizing the elegance of the lines. The uprights and rails are finely molded. The upper glass-fronted cabinets with small panes provide interior shelves, ideal for displaying glassware or collectibles. The central mirror, with its scalloped edge, adds depth and light to the piece. Beautiful gilt bronze ornamentation: keyhole escutcheons, handles, and decorative Art Nouveau appliqués. The piece rests on cabriole legs, ensuring stability and elegance. A harmonious ensemble of fine cabinetmaking, combining functionality and decorative refinement.
