Marble Sink
Corner sink/hand basin in white Carrara marble with a completely rounded front, crafted with a corbelled edge along its entire height. The flat section in the back corner was designed to accommodate the pipework for the water supply pump, demonstrating its fine provenance, as running water did not exist at the time and only the finest houses had a spring with an internal pump. The drain is original and perfectly functional. No cracks or fissures. The underside of the sink shows the original chisel marks, clearly indicating the hand-carved shape.
