Louis XV Period Armchair With Frame, Stamped Meunier.
Artist: Meunier
A wide, flat-backed armchair, known as a "queen's chair" or "furnishing chair." Original carved and gilded wood (some wear to the gilding). Upholstered with a frame, allowing for a change of upholstery for winter and summer; the iron pegs securing the frame of the back and seat to the wood are visible. This armchair is in good condition, in its original state and unrestored; it has been treated against woodworm. It is covered in pale blue linen velvet, slightly faded but still very presentable. Delivery or shipping available in France and worldwide. Viewable in our L'Aigle store or in our warehouses. Pierre Meunier, French cabinetmaker, born in 1735 and received as a Master in 1767.
