Small Mahogany Glass-fronted Bookcase, Louis XVI Style – 1930
A small, solid mahogany glass-fronted bookcase that combines functionality and aesthetics thanks to its clean geometric lines and carved motifs reminiscent of the Louis XVI style. Two three-quarter-opening glass doors reveal four spacious shelves, ideal for displaying books, collectibles, or decorative items. The right-hand door has a functional lock with a gilt brass inset. The top rail is engraved with a horizontal lozenge accompanied by wide fluting. The bookcase's uprights are carved with wide fluting. At the bottom, a gilt molding adorns the plinth, adding an elegant finishing touch. The sides of the piece are paneled, and the cornice is molded. Suitable for a living room, office, or bedroom, this piece integrates easily into both classic and contemporary decor thanks to its compact size. *****Period: 1930.
