Jean-Louis Gayral was a French painter born in 1872. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, where he was awarded a silver medal in 1932. He is known primarily as a painter of landscapes and artists’ interiors, and he also painted studio scenes and academic figure studies (Benezit).
Oil on canvas, signed and dated 19 June 1925, laid down on a rigid cardboard support.
Presented in an old ebonised wooden frame.
