Polychrome Carved Wooden Angel Head, Early 18th Century
Beautiful angel's head in profile, with its right wing folded under its neck and its left wing outstretched, giving it a lovely sense of movement. A beautiful, chubby face with a lock of hair escaping its curly locks. The sculpture is lively and well-executed. Original polychromy. The tip of the folded wing is missing. Some signs of age.
