"A Two-part Louis XV Period Buffet-bookcase, Made Of Solid Oak"
A two-part Louis XV period buffet-bookcase, crafted from solid oak, boasts an elegant and balanced silhouette, typical of high-quality regional furniture from the late 18th century. The upper section opens with two glazed doors, revealing a shelfed interior, ideal for displaying objects, tableware, or antique books. The glass panes are framed by finely crafted, scalloped moldings, lending rhythm and lightness to the whole. The richly molded, curved cornice is centered with a sculpted cartouche, emphasizing the elegance of the Louis XV style. The lower section opens with two solid, molded doors, offering ample storage space. The panels are harmoniously curved and highlighted with discreet yet refined carvings, perfectly respecting the aesthetics of the period. The entire piece rests on a sculpted plinth, adding finesse and visual lightness to this beautifully proportioned piece. The wood displays a very fine, warm, and deep antique patina, the result of time and care. Well-maintained.
