A Precious French "cave à Liqueur" From The Napoleon III Era.
A precious French "Cave à liqueur" from the Napoleon III era, dating to the 1850s and 1860s. This dating is supported by the decorative features on both the exterior of the "cave" and on each crystal element. From observation, it is clear that both the cabinet-making inlay and the engraving and cutting of the crystals are inspired by the preceding Charles X period, understated and inspired by the world of flowers. The complete glassware includes four bottles with elegantly engraved stoppers and 16 square-based glasses, typical of "cave" glasses without a cabaret. The object was intended for carriages and state rooms.Coffret dimensions:H 26 cmBase: 30 x 21.5 cmCrystal dimensions:BottleH 20 cmBase 7.5 x 7.5 cmGlassH 7 cmBase 3 x 3 cm.
