A very fine bronze sculpture with a gilt patina depicting a hare seated on a mound. The piece rests on a red marble base from Maine. It bears the signature of Charles Masson, the renowned bronze sculptor (1822-1894), and the Susse Frères foundry mark. Excellent condition, original patina. 19th century.
