"Paris Porcelain Perfume Bottle With Bronze Mount "
Paris porcelain bottle, gilt bronze mount – 19th century. This elegant and richly ornamented decorative bottle in Paris porcelain dates from the 19th century. The baluster-shaped body of white porcelain is finely hand-painted with polychrome floral garlands, enhanced by mauve cartouches highlighted with fine gold gilding. The decoration is embellished with raised cabochons in green and red, lending a precious and refined character to the whole. The bottle retains its original lid and rests on a finely chased gilt bronze mount, decorated with foliage and scrolls in the Louis XV style. The raised beaded friezes and gilt highlights attest to the high quality of workmanship, typical of Parisian productions intended for bourgeois and aristocratic interiors.
