Art Deco Crackle Glazed Ceramic 1930 Hare Kaza Edit By Gabriel Beauvais Sculptor (19th-20th Centuries)
Artist: Gabriel Beauvais (xix-xxéme)
A piece by the renowned animal sculptor, the main artist represented by the Kaza gallery. A stylized Art Deco hare, on a slightly beige, lozenge-shaped ashtray, entirely crackled (a ceramic firing technique popular in the Roaring Twenties, inspired by a very ancient Chinese method). The ceramic is marked with a stylus, in capital letters, G. BEAUVAIS on the base. Painted in black under the glaze, KAZA, and numbered. In good overall condition. Shipping available: carefully packaged and reinforced, via registered mail with signature confirmation, insurance, and online tracking (flat rate shipping fee).
