Pair of wide brown horn combs with engraved floral decoration and Rhine stone inlays. Good overall condition.

These combs, dating from the early 20th century, were used to hold and adorn women's hairstyles. Worn in pairs, they were slipped on either side of a chignon or other updo to secure the hair while adding a touch of refinement.
At that time, hairstyles were an integral part of women's elegance, and these combs were often worn both daily and on more formal occasions.
