Master craftsman on July 31, 1775. Established on the rue de Charenton, this artisan successfully dedicated himself to crafting bed and chair frames, collaborating with various ornamental sculptors. Denis Julienne, who became a master in 1775, was undoubtedly connected to another Denis Julienne who had been upholsterer to Louis XIV and the Duke of Burgundy at the beginning of the 18th century. He was one of the suppliers to the Marquis de Paulmy, Governor of the Arsenal, and, through the Presle brothers, fashionable upholsterers, contributed to the furnishings of the Marquis de Girardin. His workshop was still in operation in 1805. He produced pleasing pieces bearing his stamp, classic Louis XVI chairs, simply decorated with moldings and a few carved motifs. The sculptors Nicolas Poiron and a certain Haguette sometimes countersigned his works. Work from the Louis XVI period, 18th Century, Circa 1780.
