An interesting fragment of parchment, meticulously illuminated in color, lacquer, and gold leaf, from a liturgical antiphonary, likely from the Veneto or Lombardy area. The richly decorated letter "B," the initial letter of an antiphonary used by the clergy to orchestrate liturgical chants and homilies, is meticulously decorated with an interesting "Adoration of the Magi."
The miniature measures approximately 15 x 14.5 cm.
