Lady's Desk, 1925, Signed Majorelle

A small lady's table with two drawers and a writing surface that opens from the front. The center features exquisite marquetry, contrasting beautifully with the exotic wood, in this case, satin-finish blond mahogany. The legs are fluted at the bottom. The craftsmanship and precision of the lines are evident in this unique and rare piece. The quality of the polychrome bronze mounts, decorated with flowers, is particularly noteworthy. There is a very minor flaw in the veneer (see photo). A must-have for collectors.
