Pair Of Medici Cassolettes In Solid Mahogany And Gilt Bronze, First Empire Style - 13th Century
This pair of unusual cassolettes dates from the second half of the 19th century. They are made of solid mahogany and gilt bronze, adorned with goat-head handles on gaudy bowls. The bases are also mahogany and bronze, decorated with a frieze of water leaves and an applied acanthus leaf. The cassolettes are in good overall condition. A light cleaning of the gilding could be considered according to the buyer's preferences, but the current patina remains perfectly presentable and consistent. Dimensions: Height: 27 cm – Base width: 9 x 9 cm – Diameter of the vases at the top: 9.8 cm. Shipping costs with insurance are extra.
