With contrast marks and engravings.
Circular plate with a raised rim decorated with four ovals containing birds, alternating with slanted C-shapes (with vegetal motifs inside) in alternating positions, and thin ovals with lozenges inside every other pair. The base is smooth and features a bird in a circle surrounded by slanted C-shapes open towards the center, with vegetal motifs inside, and lozenges below the smaller ones, alternating with the larger ones. Outside this central composition and along the rim is a band of waves. It retains some traces of gilding. It is slightly raised by a simple circular base. It has contrast marks on the lower part (base and plate). The contrast mark that also appears on the lower part of the upper plate has been identified as originating from Zaragoza, Spain. Stylistically, it is reminiscent of, for example, two pieces in the Lázaro Galdiano Museum in Madrid, Spain: a fountain by Agustín de Cuesta (Granada, Spain, first third of the 17th century; inv. 2496) and another from Tudela made by Noval in the second quarter of the 17th century (inv. 2467). It is interesting to note that neither of these two pieces features figurative elements. Similar decoration can be seen on a Castilian ciborium dating from 1575 to 1600 (National Archaeological Museum of Madrid, inv. 19659).
