A tête-à-tête tray in a lozenge shape, with slightly raised and scalloped edges. Very fine gilt decoration in a trellis pattern and friezes. The Clignancourt factory, placed under the protection of the King's brother, Monsieur, Count of Provence, from 1777, produced pieces mainly gilt and then polychrome in the second half of the 1780s. The vignette mark is Monsieur's initials: LSX. Condition report: very fresh gilt, minimal wear.
