George III solid silver cream jug with scalloped rim made in London in 1794 by the silversmith partnership of George Smith II and Thomas Hayter. It is decorated with bright-cut engraved designs, including a cartouche with engraved initials C.A.C or G.A.G. The jug is a classic example of Georgian-era neoclassical design and craftsmanship.
